Documentary Project

It was a great conversation with Hon Phil Twyford, Minister for Disarmament and Arms Control, Minister of State for Trade and Export Growth, and Associate Minister for the Environment, and Immigration today at New Zealand Parliament.

Gracias HE Miguel Bauza More, Ambassador of Spain in Wellington. Since he just arrived in New Zealand 6 months ago. It was a little bit challenging for him for the interview but at the end of the day, the Ambassador surprised me with his answers. I wish he will appreciate and enjoy New Zealand and meet him again in Dunedin.

It was a golden opportunity to meet H.E. Sudesh Maniar, the High Commissioner of Singapore and the interview went very well and satisfactorily. As Singapore is a country where represents diversity and inclusion. The Singapore High Commission is huge and fancy for me.

Ending the day with an interview with Deputy Head of Mission, Mrs Sandra Chawla-Gantenbein at the Embassy of Switzerland in Wellington. We were talking a bit about A Plus For Peace which is that Switzerland is fully aligned with the UN’s goals and values. Also Thank you for the many gifts and souvenirs from the Embassy of Switzerland.

I had a chance to talk with H.E. Mrs Omur Unsay, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey about peace, diversity, and inclusion in terms of the policy and procedures. It was a great pleasure meeting her. She is a sweet and kind ambassador.

It was a great pleasure meeting H.E. Rashed Alqemzi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Wellington today. He’s a very thoughtful and nice person. I was very nervous at first but the very warm welcome and the coffee calm my anxiety. Also, thank heaps Hayden for arranging this meeting.

It was great to see and chat about Parihaka with Tonga Karena and Pund Wano-Bryant. About 1600 troops invaded the western Taranaki settlement of Parihaka, which had come to symbolise peaceful resistance to the confiscation of Māori land.

What do you think about the yellow and the red shirt in Thailand? The first greeting that I was asked question when I first met H.E. Jesus S. Domingo, Philippine Ambassador to New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Samoa &Tonga yesterday. He is energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, extraordinary, awesome and so on I would to give him more adjectives to express his personality. We were discussing peace and what is the best way of achieving peace and how is the government preparing for the generation to come by ending poverty, combating climate change, and fighting injustice inequality. Can’t wait to read his book.

I would say HE Ms Nur Izzah Wong Mee Choo, High Commissioner of Malaysia is the kindest ambassador I have met so far. It was a great pleasure to meet the ambassador and talk for 3 hours with her. I very appreciate her expertise and information in the interview and feel very positive about moving forward with my project. I asked her questions about what the most important thing we should teach young people today and her question is so out of the frame and totally different.

I met Her Excellency Mrs Nina Obermaier, the Ambassador of the European Union to New Zealand today. She is such a great leader and remarkable woman who is full of perseverance and amazing perspectives. “Nothing is black and white and there’s lots of shade of gray,” said Ambassador Nina Obermaier.

Best A.
